Let's say some well-meaning person sends you a nasty comment saying your art doesn't matter to anyone. You immediately block them for forcing their opinion. The next day, they make a shutout YouTube video to you apologizing for such a frightening comment. You then ask for solid evidence in a personal message. If they provide you with a good, convincing story, you should consider unblocking them. This happens a lot.  You'll also notice that people who act toxic aren't always toxic. Sometimes they're just jealous or just not in a good mood at the time of commenting. Toxic people are abusive under all circumstances regardless of a creator's feelings. Only block someone if they won't change.
I don't like toxicity anymore than any of you. So please don't block me. I am open to other people's opinions and I tend not to leave flame comments.

So the next time you block someone for being toxic, just hear them out or ask them why they left you a nasty comment via direct message.

Hi guys, just thought I'd get this out of the way:

I'm looking forward to seeing both the film adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog and the live-action remake of Disney's Aladdin. Say what you will about them, but I'm just gonna take what I can get.

Here's why:
Aladdin:
In my book, there's only one bad Aladdin movie I've seen (and probably ever will ever see) was the knockoff with the golden-colored genie from the same year as the original Disney's Aladdin came out. Of course, Disney sued them and then the strike was appealed because of fair use. But still, it was worse than Cars 2. Anyway, the thing I'm looking forward to the most in the new live-action adaptation is Will Smith as the Genie. Why? Because he's funny. Not a good impressionist, but still funny. That, and I can't wait to see what the film goes with the story.

As for Sonic:
Sure the new character design for our speedy, blue hero looks anything but pleasant, but there might as well be some merits to the film. For instance, Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman I can tell is gonna make the whole film worth the wait and watch. Ben Schwartz's voice for Sonic might end up making up for the lack of good design for the main protagonist. There's more to a game-to-movie adaptation than staying true to the source material. I believe Super Mario Bros. (1993) made that quite clear in my humble opinion (take note: I did like SMB 93 because it was a good novelty film, if not a good game-to-film adaptation). The only thing I see a little bit wrong with the Sonic movie by far (aside from the new design for Sonic) is the main human protagonist. Sonic X did that with Chris and look how that turned out. Hopefully they'll improve on it.

Hope you guys find this journal entry helpful,
-Daniel

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd get this off my chest. I'm gonna give you the inside scoop to my top five favorite video hands of all time. Because, hey, why not?

Number 5: Putt-Putt Goes To The Moon.

I'm putting this low on the list because it's a game for little kids. However, it had wonderful voice acting, tremendous gameplay for it's time and a randomized plot. It's where you have to get this purple kid car named Putt-Putt back to Earth after he lands on the moon because of some accident he had at Mr. Firebert's Fireworks Factory. The mini game is decent, the puzzling gameplay keeps me enticed and Putt-Putt's voice actor is as good as it ever was before Nancy Cartwright came along and soiled it.

Number 4: Angry Video Game Nerd II: ASSimilation.

Sorry for implying a swear word, but that's literally what the game is called. It feels like an old NES with swearing, blood, drinking and every other reason for it's M for Mature rating. The reason why this game's so good is because it has the most action-packed feel off any other indie game I've seen. And it's made with Unity 2D. No voice acting, but plenty of R-Rated stuff for any well-meaning adult gamer. Only problem is that it's harder than any other game I've played.

Number 3: Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

The best thing about it is the delivery. The voice acting's the best I've heard on any other Rayman game, the mini-games are playable, the jokes are witty and funny, John Leguizamo is a funny Globox and the combat system is well programmed. The only thing wrong with it is that the main quest is too short. That, and Commando is a near-impossible mini-game. Although, it's the last classic game they made before those annoying Rabbids came along and ruined everything. By the way, the HD version is better.

Number 2: Sonic Mania.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the best Sonic game I've ever played. I especially love the Mean Bean Machine Boss at the end of the Chemical Plant Zone. Puyo-Puyo-Tetris has nothing on that.

Number 1: Dragon's Lair.

Yes, it's the Arcade classic. It's beautiful and colorful to look at. The animation's wonderful and the timing of when you have to get a button is well programmed. It's the easiest kind of game to make too. The things that make it stand out are the difficulty of beating it, the fact that it's hand-drawn animation (which makes it an interactive movie) and it's a game about completion rather than score (unlike a lot of other arcade games at the time).

Hope you enjoy reading my list,
This is Daniel signing off.

Hi bros and birds,

I know it's been a while. Just wanted to display my constructive opinion here on DeviantArt.

Here are my Top 5 Favorite Animated Shows:

5. Teen Titans GO! - First off, there is very little wrong with this show aside from the bright colors and lack of character development. And I really love the voice acting, the writing, and the comedy. And despite all the controversy, it's still an awesome show. It's just misunderstood. It's low on the list because of the lame songs, though.

4. SchoolHouse Rock! - This one made this list because of how I loved it as a child watching it on video cassette. The songs are catchy, the writing and animation is competent...only thing wrong is the song where they sing about a man having 12 wives in a kid's cartoon. Other than that, it's a wonderful show. But low on the list on account of how little I watch it anymore.

3. The Loud House - This show feels like a newspaper comic strip. What adds even more charm is the characters and the catchy theme song. I love all of Lincoln's sisters (especially Lisa) on account of they're all different. (e.g. Leni's stupidity, Lana's dirty nature, Lola's vanity, Lori's authority, etc.). Clyde's dads are a gay couple (not that there's anything wrong with that) which does cause a little controversy, but it also opens more of the real world to the juvenile side of the audience. I'm also glad to see that in the Christmas special and beyond, they finally showed the Loud parents' faces. At first they were hidden-face characters.

2. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog - Where do I begin? Good voice acting, wonderful writing and awesome jokes despite the sloppy animation. Jaleel White, mind you, is not my favorite Sonic voice actor. He was, however, the first ever all-American voice actor for Sonic's character. Long John Baldry (despite not being as funny as Mike Pollock) was still a good choice for Dr. Robotnik/Eggman. Phil Hayes and Gary Chalk were very hysterical as Scratch and Grounder. The only thing wrong with this show, aside from the sloppy animation I mentioned earlier, is the addition of unnecessary characters (e.g. Sargent Doberman).

1. VeggieTales - I know, I know, it's a show for little kids. But what it lacks in some maturity it makes up for in good writing. And to think computer animation was very limited at the time they started working on it. It also has it's share of violent scenes (like when Mr. Nezzer threatens to throw Rack, Shack and Benny into a flaming furnace if they don't bow down and worship a 90-foot-tall bunny) and bad songs (especially The SUV Song). Sure tomatoes and cucumbers are fruits, but the show has it's share of vegetables too (Laura Carrot, Junior Asparagus, Princess Eloise, etc.). I like that Phil Vischer plays like half of all the voices like a G-Rated Seth MacFarlane (Mike Nawrocki plays about the other half). It's number one on this list because of my fondest memories watching it and awaiting the next video. Also because it's a Christian-themed series with very valuable lessons I couldn't have truly learned without VeggieTales.

Well, that's it. Hope to see you all again soon. And the script for Stan and Posie in "Friendly Principles" has to be re-written due to some story-based errors and stuff that doesn't add up. The deadline should be set soon, though. I'm also gonna try to upload a new S&P cartoon every other Saturday to YouTube. Don't touch that unsubscribe button. I'll try to get my next project done by mid-June (Stan and Posie or not). I'm a busy man and can't upload once a week. I don't even have a production schedule made out. But I'll see what I can do.

-See you soon and keep your comments civil,
Daniel

Hi everyone,

As of the month before last when I got my computer back, I've been procrastinating from my YouTube Agenda. Heck, I've been doing it even before I got it back when I thought I could prepare some projects. I must now think of a clear objective/goal for uploading to YouTube at least twice a month. I still don't have iron-placed deadlines, by the way. But that doesn't mean I will never upload again. I just need time to get back into focus. If you guys have any ideas for me, don't hesitate to message or Tweet me (requests are still not allowed). Oh, and "The Friendly Principle (Stan & Posie)" is still going through outline debate. I can't decide on what kind of story the character Stan Travis should go on as his first. I've thought of at least five possible stories and they all seem awesome. Speaking of the number five; my Fifth Anniversary on YouTube is coming up in a few months. I might as well try to get "TFP" done by November 19th so I can upload my first official "Stan and Posie" cartoon on November 26th. My Halloween Special is on the way as long as I can focus. I'm hoping to make it a live-action interactive adventure with practical and simple digital effects. Although, I'm a bit of a one-man show, I'm still open to collaboration. So if you wanna be in a video with me; send me a Tweet twitter.com/cerealcam486 and use #CerealCamCollab. Also, you must have a good, high-quality microphone for voice acting. I highly recommend a Samson C01u USB Studio Condenser Microphone or pretty much any Yeti Snowball Mic. Anyways, I'll see if I can get back to making videos again by mid-September.

-See you soon,
Daniel CerealCam
